Summer to Fall Makeup Transition

Summer is beginning to wind down here, the nights have gotten cooler and some say they can see the leaves beginning to turn. However, just because summer is coming to an end doesn’t mean you can’t keep that summer glow with you all year ‘round.

One of my favorite tricks for an instant glow is applying Warm Bronze DreamTint under my base. I apply a dot of the moisturizer on my forehead, nose, chin, and cheeks. I then blend the DreamTint using my Blending Brush before applying my PurePressed Powder. This gives me a bronze glow that is very natural and subtle.

I’ve also fallen in love all over again with So-Bronze 3. Using the Dome Brush, I apply a little of the matte color to my forehead and the top of my cheekbones, as well as the bridge of my nose. To illuminate the look, use the shimmer crescent within So-Bronze 3.

Also, don’t forget the Tantasia 5 self-tanning tips I shared a few weeks ago, these are great all year!

I may be a summer girl at heart, but I am so excited for the new makeup colors of fall: reds, purples and bronzes. I can’t wait to combine my summer glow tricks with these gorgeous colors!  Stay tuned, we’re working on some great fall looks that we think you will love and can’t wait to share with you!

Keep summer rolling...agree that dream tint collection is so versatile..and it's about choice with so many other options to keep the bronzed look going..reliable but never gets stale in the jane iredale collection.

I have extremely oily/acne prone skin and have been using the pressed powder foundation for five years and it's the best makeup I've discovered yet and I promise, I've tried every foundation out there. It gives a great natural covered. It works extremely well with the Obagi-C Exfoliating Day Lotion and Obagi-C Sunguard SPF 30.

I have a question regarding the pure pressed mineral foundation. I have fair skin and have gotten subtle hints of a glow over the summer. I would like to know what shade of foundation you'd recommend for the fall/winter months. I've been using the "Natural" color for the summer and I like it. However, I think that may be a shade to dark for the fall and winter months. I don't want to look ghost-like, but I'd like to find a color that matches best with my fair skin tone--yet provides a hint of a subtle golden glow. Any suggestions would be helpful...thanks!

Hi Celeste, a step lighter than Natural would be Light Beige, which is also a cool tone. However, to make sure you are wearing the correct color it is best to visit a location near you and get color matched in person. I usually wait until I feel the glow of summer begin to fade before I get color matched again. Many people will wear 2-3 different foundation colors throughout the year. I hope this helps!
